Prince Harry has told friends he is "gutted" about splitting from long-term girlfriend Chelsy Davy recently, but says his career "has to come first."
After five years together with the Zimbabwean-born law student, Harry, 24, and Chelsy, 23, have mutually called it quits after their respective career paths pulled them in different directions.
Friends of the pair told the Daily Mail that the split was "the right thing to do".
"The truth of the matter is that while they love each other to bits, Harry and Chelsy have been pulling in opposite directions for some time," said their source.
