Kryptonite Found: Watch Out Superman!
May 21st 2007 22:10
A mineral closely resembling the chemical formula of Superman's 'Kryptonite' has been unearthed in a Serbian mine.
The newly discovered mineral's formula matches that of Kryptonite - as described by Lex Luthor in 'Superman Returns' - differing only in that it does not contain fluorine.
The mineral whose composition is sodium lithium boron silicate hydroxide has been named 'Jardarite' after its Serbian discovery place.
A large chunk has been put on display at Belgrade's Museum of Natural Sciences and attracts throngs of visitors eager to glimpse 'Superman's Achilles heel'.
The museum bathes the rock in green light to further enhance patrons' 'super' experience.
All I have to say is WATCH OUT SUPERMAN!
