Oh 'Deer'! Helicoptor Blows Deer to Safety - All While Cameras Roll
January 21st 2007 18:29
A TV helicopter pilot decided recording the news wasn't going to be enough - he just had to do something - to help a stranded deer get back on its quivering legs.
The frightened deer had lost its footing on an icy frozen lake in Oklahoma last Wednesday and the poor little guy just couldn't get back on his hooves.
A helicopter pilot for KWTV used the powerful air gusts generated by his aircraft's blades to blow the deer off the ice, all while his cameras rolled. The hoofed animal glided on his stomach to shore where he was able to get up on shaky legs and eventually scamper away.

Glad your brother was OK.
We have the same problem in Alberta too: I know many people who have hit deers on the highways. Luckily, they were ok, can't say the same for those deer, though.
Some drivers are trying a transmitter that puts out high frequency sounds that we can't hear but scares deer away from your vehicle.
Hey KylieW,
Wouldn't it be too much if you could raise a fawn? You'd feed the little guy with a big baby's bottle and give him oddles of hugs!
