Are you sure it was a dog fight?
Those harnesses look like the dogs are going somewhere. Dog fighting is a terrible thing.
A picture is worth a thousand words, provided we understand the picture.

According to BBC news (where I got the dog pic):
"In Afghanistan's capital, Kabul, men wait to pit their animals against each other in a dog-fighting match."
But, yes, I agree with you that dog fights are horrible.
